Gandalf is a protagonist in J. R. R. Tolkien’s novel The Lord of the Rings. He is a wizard, one of the Istari order, and the leader&mentor of the Fellowship of the Ring.

Ian McKellen has portrayed the character of Gandalf beautifully in the theatrical release.

“𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒔!”

In “The Fellowship of the Ring,” Gandalf uses the phrase as he blocks the path of Balrog Demon in pursuit. We chose this look as it is not only the most iconic line but one of the greatest scenes in the trilogy. It’s Gandalf at his most puissant and most human. And deep inside of the line, it shows how J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings was successfully adapted by Peter Jackson.

𝑰𝒎𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔

After our first reveal of the Gandalf statue in the Winter Direct, we have received many helpful feedbacks from the meticulous collectors and Lord of the Ring lovers. We have corrected and optimized the design of the weapons and cloth after deeper research based on the feedback so we can present the most accurate Gandalf statue possible.

𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒅 𝑺𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒑𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆
.
We are offering both Polystone and silicone head sculpt options. The silicone sculpt utilises platinum-grade silicone, which won’t decolour and deform over time so the statue can be preserved for a longer time. We have implemented extremely detailed hair-rooting techniques to not only the hair but the eyebrows as well as the beard.

The painting restores the folds and wrinkles on the face, making Gandalf’s age more vivid. The dramatic expression conveys the determination and courage of Gandalf when he fought against the demon Balrog.

𝑾𝒆𝒂𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒔
.
1. Glamdring (also called the Foe-hammer): a hand-and-a-half sword, forged for Turgon, the Elven King of Gondolin during the First Age, and later owned by Gandalf
.
2. Moria Staff: Given by Galadriel after Gandalf escapes from Orthanc. This is the staff Gandalf used when facing Balrog.

The gem of the on the staff can be lit up by pressing a button.

We have modified the staff from the first prototype to look closer to the movie prop used in this scene.

𝑪𝒍𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈

Real Fabrics, linen, and pleather were used when making the outfit for Gandalf. The belt and the strap of the scabbard have undergone several optimizations to be more accurate to the movie.

The design of the base embodies Balrog and flames, equipped with breathing lights to create a more on-the-spot atmosphere.
The base is also embedded with an NFC chip specially made for our 1/2 Scale Master Forge Series.
